The new Oceanside Library’s expansion and modernization brings new cultural programming capacity to the Oceanside community. The expansion includes a 165-seat multipurpose theater conceived as a flexible venue for lectures, author talks, film screenings, community gatherings, and small-scale musical performances. LSTN provided acoustic consulting in collaboration with Theatre Projects, H2M Architects + Engineers, and MDA Designgroup to shape a performance environment that is welcoming, clear, and comfortable for both presenters and audiences. The design team aimed to create a highly adaptable venue, capable of supporting spoken word, amplified media, and live music within a compact 3,500-square-foot footprint.
