The Marlboro Agricultural Education Center (MAEC) is a new urban agriculture and education hub located within the Marlboro Houses campus in Gravesend, Brooklyn.
The MAEC transforms the grounds of a New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) campus into a welcoming hub for multigenerational education, job training, and community leadership in nutrition and urban agriculture. The new facility includes teaching and community spaces, a multi-purpose room and a public terrace.
LSTN provided acoustics and integrated low voltage (audiovisual, IT and Security) consulting for the project, helping integrate performance and media capabilities into the building.
